Christmas is just around the corner, and this time of year can be full of mixed feelings, strong emotions, or beautiful and special moments. This makes it a great time of year to anchor ourselves directly into our memory banks and bring back some of the experiences of our past.

With this in mind, this short episode is focused on helping you to improve your memory and your brain health and uses Christmas joy as a wonderful way to kick start this process.
Scientific
studies now show us that regularly activating your long-term memory and using your brainÂŽs sensory circuits or meditating really helps to fire up and improve your general, short-term, day-to-day memory functions and capacity.

Engaging your imagination to activate these thinking circuits as frequently as you can, keeps your memory and brain working in an optimum condition. (Jean Houston phd)

In other words, people that spend time each day, remembering their childhood and their past years, actively daydreaming inside of their imagination, or being mindfully fully present in their senses, tend to have a much better working memory than those who don®t spend time using their mind for these activities. 🧠

This is a really pleasant, short mind training exercise to help you to stimulate your own memory and activate your imagination along with some of these sensory circuits of neurons in your brain. 😊

Using your focus here to engage your mind and enjoy "reliving" the joys of Christmas past, you can practice stimulating your imagination with some sensory fun.

Remember that neurons that fire together, wire together, so not only is this experience enjoyable but using your mind in this way can be a powerful process, especially when repeated on a regular basis.

When doing this exercise, you may find some parts easier to engage with than others and this may also help you recognize which is your preferred sensory system. (Visual, Auditory or Kinaesthetic - Feelings)

I wonder how easy you will find it to do?

We are aiming for "flashes" of memory and experiences across your brain, rather than the actual stories of memory, as this process of flashing the circuits uses your whole brain and wakes up the processes required for improving your day-to-day memory processing powers.
