This week on the TINAH Talks podcast we’re joined by guest JP Marsh to discuss movember and the complexities of men's mental health.
Movember is a global charity event taking place every November to raise awareness and fund more research around men's health issues. The concept of Movember is Men growing moustaches in aid of talking more openly about issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention for men.
Our JP is a 40 year old single dad, who started a healing journey to breaking generational trauma in order to raise his daughter with better emotional awareness. He is very open about his own struggles and his unique healing journey.
JP discusses the societal pressures men face regarding emotional expression, the impact of childhood trauma on adult relationships, co-parenting, and the importance of self-awareness and personal growth.
JP also shares the tools he has used to improve his own mental health, including mindfulness and gratitude journaling, to break generational cycles of trauma.
Ultimately more open conversations NEED to be had about mental health, particularly among men. Join the conversation and find out more about Movember here: https://uk.movember.com/
