This week's episode of The Flight School Podcast is a vulnerable one!
In this episode, I discuss the differences between wanting to meet a goal versus committing to reaching a goal. (And the difference is HUGE!)
I discovered this for myself when I set my 2023 goals which included "wanting" to write a book by the end of Q3 of 2023. September has come and gone and there is no book. Why? I only wanted to write a book, I didn't commit to making it happen.
Lesson learned -- and I hope that what I share in this episode will help YOU reach more goals too!
Listen in to learn the nine elements of committing to a goal:

  • Wholehearted dedication
  • Clear purpose and strong why
  • Long-term perspective
  • Consistent action
  • Resilience
  • Sacrifice and prioritization
  • Taking responsibility for your results
  • Support and community
  • Accountability

As you are preparing for 2024, it's important to realize that you must commit to your goals, not simply want them if success is what you're after.
