The performing arts can be seen as an all-consuming machine that swallows an unprepared artist up without thinking twice about it. In this interview, Will discuss the performing arts from a mental health point of view—from the beauty of pursuing your dreams and achieving success to mental burnout and quitting the race, this discussion is multi-faceted. Will touches on performance anxiety, discipline, auditions, imposter syndrome, the impact of COVID-19 on the industry, and the mental health toll.
Will Centurion is a qualified counsellor and life coach who works with performing artists and professionals. He is passionate about providing skills to build their confidence and mental wellbeing.
