WELCOME TO EPISODE 100 ON THE RUNWITHALLI LIVE PODCAST!
On today's episode, David Gettis, Operating Partner for Fleet Feet NYC, joins the show's Host, (me) Run Coach Alli.
David organizes community events and manages the major brand: Fleet Feet, based in NYC. Having a passion for the track and creating the Hoboken Track Club, David took his talents to Fleet Feet in 2015, shifting careers from publishing in his former career to his current professional life.
Last week, he helped organize events leading up to the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon. I had the opportunity to be a part of and pace one of the groups along with special guest Molly Huddle, professional marathoner, and Olympian.
David is passionate about helping runners in the community find a place of belonging through his organized Wednesday evening weekly runs. These runs are held weekly at the Columbus Circle location. If you want to hop in a group run, check them out using this link. There's no pace too slow. If you're looking for a fun running group, you now have a new place to go!
Today on the show, we discuss:

  • The importance of community and how Fleet Feet plays a role in the life of a runner
  • The benefits of finding the proper shoes and gear to make your following run the best run yet
  • Tips and tricks for aspiring marathon runners (and seasoned ones) to take with you during your next training build-up
  • How Fleet Feet plays a role in helping you train smarter year-round
