There are so many options for supplements out there… but you can’t take them all. How does one decide what supplements are right for them? Which are the ones most people should be taking?

Today’s guest, Kate Turner, is Nutrition Specialist at Nordic Naturals. As a registered dietitian and personal trainer, Kate is passionate about improving people’s health through evidence-based nutrition, education, and exercise. This drove her to complete her master’s in nutrition education, teach at the graduate level, and travel to Italy to learn about Mediterranean cuisine. Kate has over eight years of experience in the field of nutrition as a wellness director, private nutrition consultant, educator, and public speaker, and she is here today to discuss ways we can all live healthier, happier lives.

Kate believes that Omega-3 fish oil is a supplement that nearly everyone should take. Omega-3 is one of the top three nutrient deficiencies in America, but it serves an important function: your body uses Omega-3 fatty acids to grow cells, strengthen muscles, and regulate hormone production. We talk about how to get more Omega-3 in your diet, what to know when you supplement, and how to know when you’re getting enough.
