Manage episode 433835122 series 3592683
Joining from Southern California via zoom is Jon and Emily, two Co-Founders of Hold The Line Fly Fishing, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit with the mission of using fly fishing to connect first responders, provide a trip to camp/fish, and calm the effects of Post Traumatic Stress.
Jon, a 15 year fire fighter who is currently an engineer & paramedic with a sweet mustache, has been married to Emily, a school teacher, for 13 years.
Jon and Emily discuss how Hold The Line Fly Fishing came to light, which was the result after several tragic losses including the suicide of one of Jon's co-workers and fellow fire fighters. After learning that fly fishing and being near the water helped both Jon and Emily, they decided to start Hold The Line Fly Fishing.
Hold The Line Fly Fishing offers two scheduled trips a year, usually in April and October, to avoid fire season, where around 12 people are allowed per trip.
In this podcast, you'll learn how to get connected, where the meeting location is in Central California, what your experience will look like, and the benefits.
