Matt Long, a former New York City firefighter, shares his extraordinary survival story after being run over by a bus in 2005. He was given a 5% chance to live and suffered catastrophic injuries that required over 50 surgeries. Despite the odds, it was Matt's training as an endurance athlete that played a crucial role in his being able to survive and recover. From the depths of despair to running the New York City Marathon again, Matt's story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of perseverance.
