453. Why Most Startups Fail
Manage episode 419160070 series 2812766
The top reason why startups fail isn’t about funding, technology, or the market. It’s because of people issues. Josh Yellin joins the show today to explain how to prioritize and work through issues between co-founders, teams, and whole organizations.
Josh Yellin has a decade of experience running the Google Startup Accelerator. He worked with the world’s most promising startups and their founders. He found that many startup founders are technical wizards, but haven’t managed organizations before. Compounding the issue, the experienced people brought onboard by founders have a hard time adjusting to a startup team.
Josh has now put all his experience and expertise in a book, “The Bonfire Moment, How to Bring Your Team Together to Solve the Hardest Problems Startups Face.” In today’s episode he gives us a few highlights: Common traps, Strawman vs Steelman arguments, and navigating feedback.
This is an episode you definitely don’t want to miss!
