I am so grateful today to welcome David Handyside onto the podcast.

David is somebody that's very special to me and my sister, and actually even my husband because he was our senior in school and so he's had a lot of influence over our lives.

He has led us in so many different ways as we were growing up through sport, through learning more about the Bible and in general leadership. He and his wife, Amy have also been significant prayer partners during my cancer journey.

We're talking today about intentionality and putting yourself into places to love others and to build relationships.

Here are the highlights from this episode:

{5:38} How to know when the time is right to do something

{9:56} Where intentionality comes in

{14:19} What it's like to get rid of everything

{20:10} David's advice for people who like to feel in control

{24:21} Intentionally putting yourself in places that don't feel comfortable to build relationships

{33:11} David's tips on leadership
