If you feel stuck or trapped in your life, you're not alone. This is one of the most common reasons clients cite for seeking out a coach.
By the time they reach out to work with me, they've been struggling and frustrated for some time. They believe if they could just be more consistent, dedicated, disciplined, motivated, or have more willpower in very specific areas of their life, then they could feel better about themselves and happier overall in life.
What they learn, however, is that happiness and contentment in life don't come from singular accomplishments, goals, or actions. Clients realize this when they start taking action and achieving milestones in areas where they were previously stuck only to still feel like something's missing.
This is where I help clients zoom out and take a look at their lives on a more holistic level.
In this episode, I share an awareness exercise you can use to evaluate your overall happiness, satisfaction, and fulfillment in life by scoring key areas. This exercise helps you create a visual snapshot of your current life in relation to your desired life so you can more clearly see the areas causing you unhappiness or discontent.
With awareness comes choice. When you have a better understanding of why you feel the way you do, you can more clearly see where to put your focus if you want to feel differently.
If you know there are areas of your life you'd like to improve but don't know where to start, asking a few powerful questions can give you some clarity so you can create some action steps to help you get started. I share a few of these questions in this episode.
If you feel stuck, your brain is just having difficulty seeing outside of your current reality.
