171 Coaching and Neurodiversity

In this episode we explore the growing importance of coaching neurodivergent clients.

The reason we're bringing this topic to you is because you will, if you're coaching clients, be coaching neurodivergent clients, those that know they're neurodivergent and those that don't. You yourself may be neurodivergent or you may not know that you're neurodivergent. And it's a topic which has been growing in awareness and importance through the coaching industry and we wanted to hold some space for that.

In this episode w share personal insights, practical strategies, and the importance of understanding neurodivergence both in coaching relationships and personal contexts.

With increasing awareness, we emphasise the need to create inclusive, accessible coaching spaces that celebrate the strengths of neurodivergent individuals while addressing their challenges.

Listeners will learn:

  • The role of executive functioning in neurodivergent experiences.
  • Why flexibility and curiosity are key when coaching neurodivergent clients.
  • How coaching neurodivergent populations enhances coaching skills for all clients.

The episode also highlights the importance of education, breaking down biases, and co-creating a supportive space for neurodivergent individuals to thrive.
