That's the question I grappled with as I prepared to level up and share my journey of intentional optimism with you. Leadership is not about the number of followers you gather, but the impact you make. More than just achieving objectives, we explore the delicate balance of allowing your team to flourish and sharing joy to lift people up.
The difference between being followed and leading:

Followed:

  • Protect ideas for fear someone will take credit
  • There’s only one right way to do things
  • Lack of delegation: easier to do it myself
  • Unwilling to help others do more

Leading:

  • Sharing your ideas
  • How things are done is more important than by who
  • Celebrating your team
  • Encouraging growth in others
