In this first of our Personal Wellness mini-series we are joined by health, fitness and wellness expert Matt Vale. As a coach, he encourages us to remind ourselves to assess progress so far this year and decide what needs to happen next to thrive throughout 2023. One of the challenges of hybrid working is that many adults are now more sedentary in their working day - sitting at the screen on Teams/Zoom calls that don't require walking up corridors and stairs to get to.
He shares tips to make the right decisions that consistently maintain our mental and physical wellness. We look at how everyday habits (not diets) is the key to how we sustain change, achieve goals and get back on track if we’ve lost our way. Matt shares his experiences as a coach about what helps people to overcome a negative mindset, to make the right decisions for us and shares tools about how to do our own maintenance wellness check. Because there is only one you.
NB: Did you know that standing up burns 100 kcal extra per hour? Scan your working week ahead, if its full of meetings - how could you plan in opportunities to stand more?
