Capt. Myles Daley - "Organized Chaos"
Manage episode 287214954 series 2829134
Thank you for tuning into the SeaBros Fishing Podcast!
Our guest on this episode of the show is Captain Myles Daley. Myles spent his youth growing up in the South Shore of Massachusetts. He was fortunate enough to have been exposed to offshore fishing by his father and uncle at a very early age, and he was on the boat for his first giant bluefin tuna at just 5 years old...
Myles earned his captains license when he was 18 and has been a part of nearly every fishery that the Northeast has to offer. His experience stems far beyond New England though. He has been at the helm of various large sportfish vessel programs, including an 80' Merritt "ET" and multiple 66' Viking Yachts. Myles has traveled and fished his way through the Bahamas, up and down the East Coast of the U.S, Pinas Bay Panama, and he has extensive experience fishing the Northeast Canyons, Massachusetts Bay, and Georges Bank. He is currently the captain of the "Pescaria" sportfishing program; one of the only 42' Freeman Boatworks' hulls fishing up in New England.
We have personally has the pleasure of tournament fishing with Myles aboard "Pescaria", learning from him, and enjoying some savage offshore trips together. Get ready to hear some incredible fishing stories, tactics, and humor from one of the most detail oriented, organized, and down to earth captains around.
Some Topics We Cover:
- Progressing from being a mate to a sportfish captain
- Downeast boats, convertible sportfish boats, and center consoles
