The important thing about mountaintop experiences is to remember that there is always a valley on the other side!
And oftentimes you find that when you get to the top.... there is another taller peak ahead!
This is the truly delicious - though difficult - thing about personal and professional growth. YOU are a long-term investment, and YOU are worth the work and the effort.
Do not regret the callouses and skinned knees you will earn along the way -- those harder lessons - the moments of failure, err, and defeat - they are not only some of our best teachers, but they are the sandpaper that smoothes out our rough edges. They help us learn to give some grace to ourselves and others. They nurture our ability to be humble, to be empathetic, supportive, and more encouraging to ourselves and others.
