32 - The Problem with Noom with Louise Adams
Manage episode 458136314 series 3497784
It's nearly the new year so gird your loins - diet season is upon us. On this episode of Paved with Gold, we thought it would be fitting to dive deep into Noom, the 'non-diet' diet app and how it, tragically, infiltrated the eating disorder recovery space. We could only do this justice with our guest Louise Adams, founder of Untrapped Academy and host of the All Fired Up Podcast.
We talk about how it, in our opinion, uses anti-diet language to lure people into their...shock...diet and why this is particularly troubling for those recovering from eating disorders.
