Dr Gradman obtained his MD from Harvard Medical School, followed by postgraduate work, interrupted by military service, at UCLA and Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. His private practice was in vascular surgery. He has been married for 52 years, and credits his wife for a very practical point, The 20-Foot Rule.
