Today on episode 79, we're diving deep into the topic of not settling for less in life. Whether it's in love, career, or family relationships, settling often happens without us even realizing it.

I've seen this countless times in my practice as a licensed therapist. People unconsciously allow situations that don't honor their worth to persist in their lives. This can show up in relationships where trust is broken or abuse occurs, in careers where salaries don't match qualifications, or even in family dynamics where boundaries are crossed.

Now, what does settling do to us? Physically, it can lead to sleep issues, migraines, and other health problems. Emotionally and mentally, it can cause depression, anxiety, and social withdrawal. It's crucial to recognize these signs and understand that settling is not serving you.

So, how do we stop settling for less? Here are some steps you can take:

  1. Decide What You Want: Take the time to define your desires clearly, whether it's in relationships, career, or finances.
  2. Affirm Your Desires: Write down and state affirmations that resonate with your goals. Believe in them wholeheartedly.
  3. List Your Non-Negotiables: Identify what you won't tolerate in various areas of your life.
  4. Express Gratitude: Maintain a grateful attitude, even before your desires manifest. Believe that they will come to fruition.

Remember, courage is key. Even if you're scared, take that first step. Just do it, as Nike says. I want you to act now, because taking action is how we bring our dreams to life.
