Minister Carolyn A. Forche` has enjoyed a lifetime of experience in the church realm, being born naturally into a family who were pillars of the Apostolic Faith Church, pastored initially by the late Bishop John S. Holly, in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in the church with its current pastor, Bishop Horace E. Smith, M.D., where she was involved in every aspect of church leadership. Those roots and principles eventually impacted her professional life, which saw her favored by God to hold influential positions in the city of Chicago.

Her highest professional honor was being favored by God to become the first woman and first African American to be appointed to the Sub-Cabinet level position in President Jimmy Carter’s Administration as United States Midwest Region 5 Director of Public Affairs, which covered all five U.S. Midwestern states.

Carolyn is also an award-winning, Best Selling author of two books:

Colors Come From God … Just Like Me!(Abingdon Press), which sold over 30,000 copies. Its message inspires children to celebrate their racial differences; and, a book for Adult Survivors of Childhood sexual abuse, That’s Not Nice What You Did To Me, which placed as a finalist in the International Writer’s Network Competition
