The Texas Trailhead Podcast Season 2 Episode 2: Camping at Home & Interview with my Buddy David Welcome to the podcast- this is danny, and I’ve gotta say—I’m pretty excited about this weeks episode. First up—if you live in Texas then you’re probably aware that the state parks have now officially closed. It’s definitely eerie and no fun and it is really limiting the places that people can get out and hike. Oh man it was a frenzy on social media. But all is not lost. I wanna talk about ways to find nature close to home. I’ll be sharing my experience about campin out in the backyard. And in the second segment I want to introduce you to an old friend of mine. We met many years ago working at the outlet mall, and we have been buddies ever since. He’s a huge fan of the outdoors—we’ve camped together, we’ve hiked together, but now he lives all the way in seattle. We had a nice chat about what hiking is like out in Washington—some of his favorite places to hike—and he even sneaks in some backpacking tips too.
