He started out as a teacher until he was laid off and got a job as a temp worker with a record center. Over 20 years later, he now holds a doctorate that deals directly with the RIM industry professionals.
Dr. Michael Huff has over 26 years of hands-on operations, management and consulting experience in the records and information management industry. Currently, he serves as Vice President and Privacy Officer at File Keepers, LLC in Los Angeles. He holds a doctorate in Organizational Leadership and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology—his doctoral dissertation topic is related to the Emotional Intelligence of RIM professionals. Dr. Huff has also served as President of the Greater Los Angeles ARMA Chapter in 2008/2009. Additionally, since 1995 he has worked with nonprofits and local government agencies to provide career aptitude assessments to underserved populations in Southern California.
