You have to decide between hiring ‘seeds’ and ‘stars.’ Seeds are more junior, and although they have huge potential, they’ll also cost you huge resources in terms of time and energy to level them up. Stars will cost more, but can have an immediate and lasting impact in your business.
👉 LESSON #3: Communication is the key to long-term success. When we work with teams, there tends to be a diffusion of clear communication. This leads to issues that need to be resolved, rework that needs to happen, and lack of real clarity for your direct reports. Taking a moment to clarify your intent before tasking people can make all of the difference in performance.
