From the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East to the tensions in the Taiwan Strait, it’s hard to keep up with all of the unfortunate military conflicts around the globe. With a wife, three children, and a seven-figure business to run, I find it difficult to keep up with the constantly evolving landscape of these global conflicts... Luckily, we have experts like today’s guest, Kyle Anzalone, who has dedicated himself to keeping up with these rapidly evolving situations. Kyle is the Opinion Editor for Antiwar.com, the News Editor at the Libertarian Institute, and co-host of the podcast Conflicts of Interest. He joins the Expat Money Show today to provide an update on the various conflicts currently affecting people around the globe. Enjoy!

TODAY’S CONVERSATION WITH KYLE ANZALONE

  • Tune in as Kyle lays out how a certain US Presidential candidate captured his interest in libertarian philosophy and the libertarian movement (while the antiwar part took a little longer…)
  • Learn what eventually led Kyle to conclude that to be antiwar is an essential extension of the libertarian philosophy, causing him to become a passionate antiwar advocate.
  • Hear Kyle and I discuss an interesting theory about the connection between U.S. foreign policy and domestic gun violence.
  • How do psy ops influence our interactions with our fellow man? Whether it’s to militarize the public towards war or agitate their fear of a pandemic, it’s shocking to think about how much of our behaviour is due to outside influences.
  • Listen to Kyle expertly break down the conflicts in the Middle East, centred around Israel and the Gaza Strip, and the various players involved as an extension of the conflicts, including Iran.
  • Learn about the heartbreaking consequences of war to civilians in the region, from famine to the spread of disease. No matter what your politics, the disastrous effects of war cannot be overstated.
  • Hear Kyle provide an update on the Ukraine war, which has dragged on for nearly two years. Is there any end in sight?
  • Uncover the truth about Ukrainian President Zelensky - how did this two-bit comedian end up overseeing a massive war with Russia? Truly some of the best evidence for clown world yet!
  • How will the U.S. election impact foreign policy and the domestic situation within the U.S.? Is there a situation where one alternative is better than the other? Kyle and I look at every angle.
  • Lastly, Kyle provides an overview of the current tensions in the Taiwan Strait and how the China-Taiwan conflict affects the larger global picture.

CONCLUSION

It was great speaking with another voice from AntiWar.com after Kyle’s colleague Dave DeCamp appeared on the show last year. They truly do stellar work there and deserve your support. I always have mixed feelings when I do these foreign policy episodes. For one, it can be downright depressing to think about all the needless death and destruction that goes on around the world, of all the innocent lives lost. On the other hand, understanding these global conflicts is of huge importance to the expat world. I have subscribers, Private Clients, and friends from literally every corner of the world, and I am always concerned about how the prospects of war might affect someone I care about. Be sure to check out Kyle’s podcast, Conflicts of Interest, and the work of everyone over at AntiWar.com, a truly fantastic organization.
