The COVID-19 pandemic has created a profound moment of disruption of hierarchy, silos, speed and type of communication in healthcare. At the same time, we face a profound moment of disruption of business as usual regarding baked-in institutional and structural aspects of racism. Stir these up together and we are at a once-in-a lifetime moment to make changes in how healthcare is conceived, how it is structured, and who it serves. Joining us today for this special roundtable are: ·Erica Foldy: Associate Professor of public and nonprofit management at Wagner School of Professional Studies at NYU and researcher of race and racism in organizations. ·Jody Hoffer Gittell: Professor of management at Brandeis University and Director of the Relational Coordination Research Collaborative. ·Kate Kellogg: Professor of Business Adminstration at MIT Sloan School of Business and ethnographer of work and change movements in healthcare. ·Victoria Parker: Associate Dean and Associate Professor at the University of New Hampshire Paul College of Business and Economics, and researcher of job design and organizations of front-line workers in long-term care.
