What My Breakups Have Taught Me
Manage episode 290794167 series 2913362
Today I want to take you through the highs and lows, tears, and triumphs, of my past relationship breakups. They’ve all given me valuable lessons that help with not just romantic relationships but also my friendships. In the long run, I am truly grateful for these experiences and hope you might be able to take something from them too.
I realised that the grass definitely isn’t always greener on the other side. I forged a sense of self worth I was previously lacking that allowed me to establish clear boundaries. One breakup taught me to take responsibility for my future, and build strong foundations for myself, my relationships, my friendships, and my finances.
Being stood up helped me learn to let things go, to know that things which don’t work aren’t meant to be, and that if you’re going to stand me up you can get f*ked. I’ve had my intuition tell me a relationship wasn’t working but ignored it and got burned in the long run. Now I am much more trusting of my intuition when it picks up on things in all relationships.
I hope you enjoy the episode and are inspired to reflect on your own experiences and lessons you have gained from your past relationships and break-ups.
