If you're not in the business, or sometimes even when you are, you might overlook the role of a producer because they often operate behind the scenes. But the reality is - no producer, no show.
In this episode, I chat to Katy Lipson, award-winning producer and champion of new theatre. She set up her own production company, Aria Entertainment, in 2012 and was Producing Artistic Director at the Hope Mill Theatre from 2016 - 2019. A total powerhouse in the industry, when you start to look through Katy's production history you realise that it's almost impossible not to have seen one of them, from the likes of Pippin to The Addams Family.
