Hey there, surfers and beachgoers! Ready for the latest surf zone forecast? Let's dive in!
Starting off with Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches, we have a Beach Hazards Statement in effect through this evening with a high rip current risk. Surf heights are ranging from 3 to 6 feet, subsiding to 2 to 4 feet. Keep an eye out for the highest surf on south-facing beaches. No thunderstorms expected, and water temperatures are between 61 to 70 degrees. Tides are going from low to high throughout the day, and we're seeing a mix of south and west swells.
Moving on to Ventura County Beaches, we've got a similar scene with a high rip current risk through this evening. Surf heights are also 3 to 6 feet, decreasing to 2 to 4 feet. Water temperatures are slightly cooler at 58 to 63 degrees. Tides will be shifting, and we're still riding the mixed south and west swells.
For Santa Barbara County and beyond, the surf heights are a bit lower, ranging from 1 to 3 feet. Rip current risk is low, and water temperatures are between 63 to 65 degrees. Tides are fluctuating, so keep an eye out for the changing conditions. We're looking at a mix of south and west swells with a nice west swell rolling in on Tuesday.
And up north at San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches, we're seeing surf heights of 3 to 5 feet, with water temperatures around 52 to 54 degrees. Tides are on the move, so plan your surf session accordingly. Expect a mix of west and south swells continuing into Tuesday.
Remember, always be cautious in the water, especially with the high rip current risk. Stay safe and enjoy those waves out there!
