In this episode, Dr. Block interviews Dr. Joseph S. Thomas, a hospitalist at Buffalo Medical Group, about his dual passions for medicine and Star Wars. They explore parallels between the Jedi Order and medical institutions, such as the AMA and ACGME, discussing the balance of power and control in both worlds. They also dive into the moral gray areas in both medicine and Star Wars, particularly in recent shows like The Acolyte and The Mandalorian. Dr. Thomas shares insights on managing emotions in high-stress environments and the importance of collaboration in both fields.
