Target Audience This activity is targeted toward primary care physicians and advanced providers.
Statement of Need Chronic pelvic pain is a common condition that can negatively impact an individual's quality of life. Providers should be aware how to effectively diagnosis and manage chronic pelvic pain. This podcast will be a discussion that will review key aspects of the management of chronic pelvic pain and include diagnosis and treatment. There will be a focus on surgical indications for treatment of chronic pelvic pain and the applications.
Objectives At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to:
- Define chronic pelvic pain.
- Discuss the differential causes and diagnoses of acute and chronic pelvic pain.
- Review the latest evidence-based recommendations in the assessment and management of chronic pelvic pain.
