This is a short episode to remind you that no-one knows what's best for you than you!
In an information-heavy society with social media constantly telling us what to do (and not do), it takes effort to remind yourself that you CAN trust your body and that ultimately you are the best authority for it.
This doesn't mean we can't seek advice and solve for the problems we face.
It means we start believing that how we feel is the best indicator of whether something is working for us.
If something doesn't make you feel better, don't keep doing it!
If something doesn't make you feel in tune with your body, ask yourself why you're doing it.
If something is causing you friction and unease and a sense of dread and obligation, ask yourself who you're giving your authority and power to.
After years of dieting and mistrust with my body, I know how hard this shift is to make. I recognise how easy it is to be sucked into the latest prescription of what's "best" for us.
But I now see this questioning of the "shoulds and shouldnt's" as essential to helping me connect more deeply with the things that fuel and energise me because that's what I want MORE of in my life -- but of course, I don't know about you ;)
