Financial Planning with Yogi Berra
Manage episode 407397484 series 3560500
Yogi Berra is one of the most quotable people to ever live. He could entertain even more than he could play baseball, and he was a really good catcher. Even as a Red Sox fan, Victor has an appreciation for many of the things Yogi said through the years.
When we look at some of his quotes through the right prism, they can teach us some lessons about financial planning. So that’s what we’ll try to do in this episode. We’ve pulled six great quotes that Yogi said through the years and we’ll going to make sense of them for what we do every day in retirement and estate planning.
Here are the quotes we’ll discuss in this episode:
- “I never said most of the things I said.”
- “A nickel ain’t worth a dime anymore.”
- “If you don’t know where you’re going, you might wind up some place else.”
- “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.”
- “The future ain’t what it used to be.”
- “It’s like déjà vu all over again.”
