How are we supposed to treat addicts we are in a relationship with? How far are we supposed to love someone until it becomes toxic to us? Heidi came from a family that had addiction in its past. When she grew up and got married, the same pattern happened with her new husband. Things became abusive until the never-ending cycle became unbearable. We want to help those we love when they are stuck in addiction, but we can't do that unless we help ourselves first.
