She has spent the majority of her adult life focused on medicine, healthcare, and good stewardship of health, and loves pouring out that information and sharing with others. She functions as a correspondent for local networks like WSBTV and 11-Alive in the Atlanta area, and nationally on CNN. She is a women’s health and perimenopause and menopause advocate.

Anushay Hossain is a Washington DC-based writer, podcast host, and passionate advocate for women’s health. Her career is dedicated to exposing and addressing systemic sexism and racism within the American healthcare system. As the host of The Pain Gap Podcast, Anushay and her diverse array of guests shed light on the challenges faced by women, particularly women of color, in the American healthcare landscape. Anushay’s advocacy is deeply rooted in her personal experiences, including her upbringing in 1980s Bangladesh. As a prominent writer (Author of The Pain Gap How Sexism and Racism in Healthcare Kill Women) and feminist policy analyst, Anushay focuses primarily on women’s health legislation.
