Hjortur Smarason from Space Nation
Manage episode 278299914 series 2828050
I recently met with Hjörtur Smarason from Space Nation (https://spacenation.org/) for the latest episode of the Nordic Future Makers podcast. Originally from Iceland, Hjörtur lives in Copenhagen now and in our 25 minute conversation we discuss the commercialisation of space and how Space Nation are preparing people for this through astronaut training and expeditions. We hear about the work that Blue Origin, Virgin Galactic and Space X are doing and then hear some of Hjörtur's views on space tourism and sport on the moon!
We then go on to talk about place branding and reputation management, future cities of Africa, how to approach to innovation and finally finish by talking about the last McDonald's burger in Iceland which now seems to have inspired a Burger King campaign...
There's a lot of great content crammed into this episode, so I hope you enjoy this podcast, I hope you'll subscribe to this podcast and I hope you'll listen again - in the future!
