Self-salbotage can be a challenging habit to break for some people. We look at other’s people’s lives and sometimes tell ourselves we are unworthy of those experiences or achievements. We confuse comfort with warn out beliefs or actions that keep us from living at our full potential. We tell ourselves that due to our traumatic experiences we aren’t capable of taking responsibility of our healing, accepting, and reclaiming our wholeness. In this session we will discuss how your manuever past self-sabotage to begin owning your past habits and trusting yourself to live at authentically. GEMS: If I have the power to delay something in my life, I have the power to accelerate my own achievements and dreams. - Dr. Thema Sitting in the front row for others but, sitting in the back row for yourself can determine if you're self-sabotaging yourself. -Tanya Brown Exercise: Whitebord diagram- Write the thought, Then draw a line towards the belief. Then draw a line from the belief to the behavior that supports the beliefe. Journal Reflections Am I comfortable or I intuitively believe I’m capable for more abundance? (raise, better relationship, safer environment, career change, education or skill) Am I authentically living at my full potential or by someone else’s idea of me? (incompetent, lack time management, education, stability, freedom, criminal history) Do I believe my trauma withholds me from living a peaceful lifestyle? (things like that don’t happen for me mentality.) Can I accept that I am worthy of better opportunities, relationships, and experiences without guilt? (This only happened because…) Can I own that I have withheld myself from…because… Can I give myself grace when I make a mistake and instill compassion to keep healing and growing towards my desires? Journal: Over the next week begin to keep tally of your thoughts and explore where and when they begin to form. What ways can we disrupt this thought and accept and own our potential fear or insecurity.
