Manage episode 373048555 series 3445956
Want a future career with purpose? How about working for a non-profit organization supporting wildlife conservation, access to outdoor therapy, or veterans?
Trevor Hubbs, a prior Army Airborne Infantry Soldier, discusses his work with the Armed Forces Initiative (AFI) of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers (BHA). AFI introduces active duty service members and veterans to public lands and waters by providing outdoor adjunct therapy to enhance mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being while providing them with a new mission as conservationists. Also joining this episode is Garrett Robinson, a retiring Marine and Skillbridge Intern with AFI. He tells us about his current transition experience and the valuable skills and knowledge he obtains from his internship. During this episode, we discuss…
- Outdoor Adjunct Therapy
- Working in a Non-Profit Org
- The Applicability of Military Skills
- Developing Hunting & Angling Skills
- Skillbridge Opportunities with AFI
- The Military-Conservation Connection
…and much more.
