Eric Nelson, a native of southwest Colorado, earned his Civil Engineering degree from Colorado State University. As the principal of Wild Oak Capital, he and the team are always looking to acquire multifamily properties and currently manage over 1,000 units. His experience as the owner of an engineering firm in Colorado has honed his skills in management, underwriting, and investor relations.
Eric Nelson, a real estate investor with 1,000 units and a former host of the Real Estate Mindset Podcast, discussed his journey to Spain with his family, driven by a desire for family time and travel. He emphasized the importance of understanding one's "why" and aligning it with actions. Eric highlighted the role of coaching in overcoming mental blocks and fostering success, noting that his coaching and mastermind programs focus on partnerships and mindset development. He also shared insights on overcoming imposter syndrome, the value of accountability, and his leadership style, which emphasizes building people up and leveraging strengths.
On this podcast Phil and Eric discussed the following:

1. Mindset and why it's important to understand your "why" and how it can change over time.

2. Eric's decision to move his family to Spain and the process of making that happen, including setting up his business and finances.

3. The importance of taking action, even if you don't have everything figured out perfectly. The lessons learned from taking action are often more valuable than just studying.

4. The value of coaching and accountability partners to help push you towards your goals, especially when it comes to mindset blocks.
