‘Living with Ovarian Cancer Podcast’ is full of inspiring stories told by people who are living with or have a connection with Ovarian Cancer. Each person’s story is a gift to those listening; unique and told from the heart in their own words. I am your host, Diane Evans-Wood. In this episode I am delighted to talk to Diane Boothby, an amazing lady who tirelessly raises awareness of Ovarian Cancer despite going through her own difficulties. She even took her campaign to high places as you will hear. Diane was diagnosed with Low Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer, and she tells me about the difficulties she experienced during the process of diagnosis and then how hard it was going through the covid pandemic at the time. We talk about the rareness of the disease Diane was diagnosed with, and how she managed to cope after surgery. In addition to this, Diane’s Husband was himself diagnosed with cancer, so life was very traumatic for them both at that time. Diane’s eyes lit up when talking about her family and she clearly adores them all. I am sure you will find Diane’s story very interesting and uplifting because she is so full of positivity and life. In this episode we touched on the following organisations: Target Ovarian Cancer: https://targetovariancancer.org.uk Ovacome: https://www.ovacome.org.uk Cure our Ovarian Cancer charitable trust https://cureourovariancancer.org Low Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer support: https://www.facebook.com/groups/lgscsupport/ Maggie’s Centre: https://www.maggies.org Podfollow; https://pod.fo/e/18baeb Thank you so much for listening to ‘Living with Ovarian Cancer’.
