From Project BFF, Terri and Manya riff on the topic of finding your hype squad with the fabulous author, speaker and founder 'Tine Zekis.
'Tine wrote the book (literally) on finding your hype squad, and here is an article on the topic: Assemble Your Hype Squad. In this episode, we talk about what a hype squad is, why having one can make a real difference in your career--for black women especially, and how to strategically build a group of friends, family, mentors, and like-minded individuals who can keep you motivated, share your dreams, and stand by your side through thick and thin.

Christine ('Tine) Zekis is an educator turned software engineer, international speaker, and author of Overcoming Imposter Syndrome at Work: The Black Woman's Guide to Conquer Perfectionism, Stop Overthinking & Thrive in Your Career. She is the Founder and CEO of Getting Black Women Paid, which empowers Black women professionals to accelerate their careers and soar past the six-figure mark. 'Tine is a sought-after speaker on panels and at tech conferences where she discusses salary negotiation, career changers, imposter syndrome, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in the industry.
You can find 'Tine on her website Getting Black Women Paid, and on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

Thank you for listening.
After much reflection, we have made the difficult decision to shut down Project BFF and the podcast. Our last podcast episode aired on August 23, 2024. We are leaving the podcast live on Buzzsprout through the end of 2024.
We are proud of this podcast and honored to have hosted such amazing and engaging guests.
Our hope is that Project BFF and Friendshipable have inspired you to form new friendships, strengthen existing ones, and encourage others to do the same
Thank you for being a part of our story. The two of us have truly deepened our friendship during this time, and we look forward to new and memorable adventures together in and around New England, which serves as the adopted home for both of us.
With gratitude and friendship,
Manya and Terri
