Hey fitness friends. This is your host Eric Malzone. And this is the fitness Blitz radio. So today's date is January 11 2021. And if you've been paying attention, it's been a little while since I've released an interview on the Fitness Blitz radio. And it's not because I'm lazy. It's because I've just been really busy. But I have been creating a ton of content for you. So I just want to make sure that you're aware of the Future of Fitness podcast. I started that one in 2017, we've done well over 200 episodes, I had amazing guests over the last, you know, three-plus years, from the legendary Dan John, to Jonathan Goodman, to Alia Roddy of tonal Joel Jamison of Morpheus and Williams and my zone, geez, the list goes on, there's just so many people that I believe you will get value from. So I'm asking you to go check it out. And, you know, I want to be very open. Which is, it's, first of all, let me back up. This is interesting to me, because this is the first time I've actually recorded a solo podcast ever. So I've done well over 600, maybe 700 interviews between a bunch of different shows. First time, I've actually sat here and talked to myself into a microphone, so it's different for me, I don't know if I enjoyed it yet or not. But anyway, 2020 was a challenging year for the fitness industry. It was also a hugely valuable year for the fitness industry. And you know, I've worked at every level, over the past decade and a half from, you know, trainer to coach to facility owner to advisor and entrepreneur and 2020 was the most unique by far, I think we've always seen that a evolution of the fitness industry was coming, right? The way that the pandemic and the economic crises hit this year, last year in 2020, I keep bringing in 2021. A lot of people struggling continue to struggle. Many of them are my friends, clients. And I'm very sympathetic and empathetic towards that. And hopefully, this will wrap up and we can get back to the new normal as soon as possible. That being said, we saw a huge year of growth, a huge shift in the consumer market, and what the consumer needs. And here's the thing. When consumer needs shift, entrepreneurs thrive. And you've seen this already, and you have two choices. In a market like this, you can either embrace change, or get run over by it. And if you go to my other show the future of fitness.co you can check out on all the major outlets iTunes and Google and Spotify I believe. If not, I'll make sure my VA checks on it. But that's what it's all about. I mean, huge, huge guests, right. A lot of insights in my goal that use a hockey analogy, is to get the industry skating to where the puck is going and not where it is right now. That's my Gretzky quote. So go check it out. That's all I'm asking. I just want to leave a final note here. I'm surprised sometimes when I stopped back in and see the numbers from the fitness books radio, and I'm super grateful and super happy to see that it's, it's alive. And it's it's thriving and a lot of people are downloading and listening and getting value from it. So I'm so happy that I was able to do 350 episodes of the Fitness Blitz radio over a little over a year's time. That was a neck-breaking pace. But so my only request as I conclude my ramble is go to the futureoffitness.co Learn all about it. Please subscribe to it. Listen to it. Reach out to me. If you have questions. It's not just a podcast, it's a movement, and I want you to be part of it. So go to future fitness.co This is Eric Malzone. Have a great 2021
