This episode covers:
  • What overthinking is & why it happens
  • How to stop overthinking and use your mind more skillfully
  • This is info from a module in the Mental Freedom Course
The average person has 60,000 thoughts per day. How many of these are necessary? How many of these are looping, repetitive thoughts that lead to anxiety & stress? A lot. Our mind has evolved to become a problem solving machine, it loves stimulation & working through problems. But unless we actively train to gain more control over our extremely powerful mind, it runs riot. Most people’s minds are like a noisy nightclub, when they could be like a calm cosy local pub. Once we understand that overthinking is just an unskillful use of our imagination, we realise it doesn’t have to be this way. We can train to have a more skilled mind, and that’s what I go through in today’s episode.
*The next Mental Freedom Course group is starting this Thursday 30th November*
