We are back for Part 2 this week as the conversation continues.

Andrew and Tom Clarke discuss the need for a strategy to address food security and the role of government in supporting the farming sector. Andrew shares his thoughts with Tom on the influence of trade representatives on the AHDB council and suggests ways in which the AHDB can fight for the interests of farmers and improve transparency in the industry.

Market report w/c Monday 13th November.

Andrew reflects on the recent weather conditions in this week's market report, noting a slightly drier week and some sugar beet lifting. However, the overall dampness persists, causing challenges for farmers. Despite this, the market has remained firm, with new crop prices holding steady. Andrew acknowledges that while prices may exceed budgets, farmers are cautious about selling due to suboptimal yield expectations.

Our next Dewing Grain Podcast Walk is on Tuesday 28th of November at 11 am in Winterton, place tbc.
