In this week's episode, Andrew and Josh are joined by Richard Ling from Rookery Farm Limited in Suffolk, who has recently been a hot topic in the newspaper due to Nestlé trialing cocoa-shell fertilizer on his farm and causing a stir. The group discusses the low-carbon fertilizer made from a chocolate factory’s waste cocoa shells and its effect on Richard’s crops.

Market Report w/c Monday 2nd October. In this week’s market report, join Andrew as he breaks down the current grain market and discusses how the weather has been affecting Norfolk soil. Andrew shares with his listeners some predictions he has for the market, such as the fact that he thinks the market will come down because there are more people selling than people buying, and the influx of support from the North of England.

The crew also discusses collecting crop samples, the benefits of watching your emissions as a farmer by testing soil, the importance of farmers coming together to ask questions and learn from each other, and the challenges of keeping up to date with legislation while staying on top of timings. Tune in to find out which football team the crew supports!

A big thank you to David Kidner who kindly took us around with some of his neighbours in Stoke Holy Cross for last week’s podcast walk, we hope you like your Make Agriculture Great Again hats!
