In order to succeed as a real estate entrepreneur, should you burn the boats and destroy the bridges?

Which is a philosophy from Sun Tzu’s book ‘Art of War’ that basically means you leave no other option for your soldiers other than to win and keep advancing (because there’s no way for them to turn back and retreat!).

Or… is it wiser to have some kind of parachute or safety net, like a job… or savings… or maybe even a spouse that can support the family during the ramp up phase?

We think there’s no right or wrong answer, and has more to do with your own mindset, personality, and risk tolerance.

For the right person, a ‘burn the bridges’ type approach may just be the rocket fuel they need to succeed.

For the majority though, we think having a safety net that gives you some security and peace of mind may be the more tried, true, and proven path.

And that certainly was the case the case for our guest this week, Anthony Pimentel.

Want to see an almost text-book example of how this is done?

Listen in now as Anthony shares his journey on how he’s building a real estate empire… all while working a full-time job as an IT professional!

Here’s a sample of what we discuss:

  • How Anthony survived “The Great Recession”.
  • Is a real estate license necessary to be an investor?
  • How to invest in out-of-state properties… and the challenges of being a long-distance investor.
  • Battle-tested tips on managing contractors from thousands of miles away.
  • What Anthony started doing to mushroom into 300+ multifamily doors… and 350+ self-storage units.
  • The #1 key to his success…
  • Much, much more!
