2: The Journey to Discover My Truth and Cultivate Self-worth by Going Inward
Manage episode 347610304 series 3415051
The journey to find my worth after years of searching for things outside of myself for years hasn't been easy. But it taught me many valuable lessons, and in this episode of the BEYOND BEAUTY PODCAST, I'm here to share it all with you.
It started when I was 16 with an eating disorder, bulimia because I believed if I could control my weight and become thin, I would finally be worthy of attention and love.
When my emotions became too overwhelming, I ate to self-soothe. Unfortunately, the more I suppressed my emotions with food, the more food controlled me, and I became less connected to myself.
Over time, self-hatred and rejection grew deeper and deeper. My days were filled with battles against my body and emotions I could not win. It was a vicious cycle.
Earlier this year, I transitioned to returning to my truth and self-worth by letting go of the external achievements that defined me my whole life. I knew this was not a sustainable way to live, so I decided to let go of my weight loss coaching business. I needed to step away from it all to rediscover myself and finally come back to alignment.
My purpose now is to support women in finding their worthiness from within, and you can discover it when you go internal and cultivate a more profound sense of self: self-acceptance and self-love.
Because the freedom and fulfillment I have today are not because of my looks or my achievements, but rather a result of doing the inner work, and this is what I want to help you achieve through this podcast.
