One of my favorite things about conversations is how they can challenge our perceptions and inspire us to see things from a new perspective. That's exactly what happened when I sat down with meteorologist and yoga teacher Trevor Gibbs. We had a heart-to-heart discussion about his journey of self-discovery and coming out, his passion for meteorology, and how yoga served as a guiding light during this major transition.

Together, we explored the positive shift in societal attitudes towards marginalized groups, drawing from our personal experiences. Trevor’s passion for meteorology and yoga intersected with his personal life, fostering a sense of authenticity and confidence. We dove into the challenges that come with being a public figure in the news industry and the responsibility of delivering accurate and timely weather information. Trevor's experiences gave us a glimpse into the world of journalism and weather reporting, emphasizing the role of technology and social media in news dissemination.

It's a conversation that’s both enriching and vital, offering insights into the intersection of personal identity, professional passion, and societal responsibility.

In this episode, you will hear:

  • How yoga played a significant role in navigating major life transitions and served as a source of healing and connection.

  • The importance of community, inclusivity, and acceptance.

  • The challenges and responsibilities of being a public figure in the news industry.

  • The intersection of personal passion and societal responsibility.

  • The role of technology and social media in news dissemination and the importance of presenting unbiased.

  • The importance of recognizing when something isn't working and having the courage to make changes.
