In this episode Priya and Advita discuss the current behaviours, emotions and grief we saw after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, many emotions have surfaced due to the complicated and complex history of the British Monarchy. There will be colleagues, friends and peers who may not have the same viewpoints or opinions as you, and it's essential to recognize that these feelings are valid. We don't have any right to tell people how they should feel or think and everyone is allowed an opinion.

As mentioned in the episode we recommend viewing this document by Keith Reilly: Click here.

Priya and Advita arise the question of why should internal communications care about DEI and have an active role to play in this space.

According to Priya and Advita achieving DEI and creating an inclusive culture should be part of driving employees forward and delivering the promises organizations make on both the employee and customer level. It's not just HR or internal communications job to drive inclusive culture we all have a role to help in reaching an inclusive culture and start growing our teams.

Priya and Advita's book will be released this time next year, so make sure to follow the journey by bookmarking our #ALLME podcast page as we continue to explore more chapters in the next few weeks: https://aleaderlikeme.podbean.com/
