Do you sometimes want to, or attempt to do things, but it just doesn’t happen and you don’t know why? There’s a reason for that! People tend to get in their own way without even being conscious of it. You may be stuck in traffic. You keep saying to yourself, 'I should turn down that road to bypass the traffic', but you still stay in the traffic.

You may meet someone who you really like, but you talk yourself out of even interacting with them. You want a new job, but not even apply, or you may get an interview, but you may not even go or are extremely nervous and flunk it. You want to get fit and healthy, you may even sign up to go to the gym, but you don't go and end up eating junk food and put on even more weight! You want to go out and socialise, but as the time gets nearer you get more and more anxious and don't go.

These are just a few examples of people being their own worst enemy, but why and how does it happen? What can be done about it? Tune in to this week's show to find out how you can recognise when you are doing this and how to avoid it, so that you can stop being your own worst enemy and become your best friend instead!
