In this episode, it's the end of 2009, and heart surgery is behind Jackie. She is still trying to maintain a full-time job while facing a series of major surgeries, trying to wrap her mind around how much her body was rapidly changing due to meds and illness, and worrying about how to pay the bills. It's important to remember that at this time, Jackie is still only 25 years old. She and her parents try to navigate insurance, contemplate bankruptcy, and having to accept help and generosity from others via a benefit.
